Cision Vision is funded by the National Science Foundation to develop a surgical imaging product to help surgeons find lymph nodes. This is particularly relevant for thoracic and pelvic lymph node dissections where lymph nodes are individually distributed.
Cision Surgical is an accessory attachment to existing laparoscopic imaging towers from major manufacturers, such as Stryker, Karl Storz, Olympus, etc. With a flip of a switch on the laparoscope, surgeons will be able to see lymph nodes in real-time without any injection or radiation.
Cision Surgical has been demonstrated to be feasible in live pig experiments.
Note: Cision Surgical is in the R&D phase. It is not an FDA-cleared product.
